Health Anxiety

Health anxiety involves excessive worry about being ill or fearing the worst when experiencing physical symptoms, to the extent that it impacts your daily life.

Given the complex factors contributing to health anxiety, I use an integrative approach to provide support. A key aspect of our work together may involve exploring the common belief that physiological symptoms must have a purely physical origin. This belief can make it challenging to view these symptoms as potentially stemming from emotional factors.

While I will never discourage you from seeking medical help, my goal is to offer additional perspectives on how you understand and manage your physiological symptoms. Together, we will work on developing tolerance for how your body feels and cultivating a compassionate approach to your experience.
